Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review

One of the best ways to enjoy this One Happy Island is to stay at an amazing resort. I loved writing this Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review because it is one of those places we will go back to again and again. We are already making plans to spend 10 days there next year.

I know you will love the kick back, welcoming vibe of this all inclusive resort. It offers guests the most friendly and inviting atmosphere – I wish I was there right now, with a tropical drink on a beach side lounge chair.

Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Rainbow At the Divi

When you are looking for a gorgeous tropical destination where the most heavy lifting you have to do is find the perfect beach chair, the Divi Aruba All Inclusive is the ideal spot for you.

Almost everyone I spoke with during our stay at the Divi Aruba All Inclusive had been coming back year after year; 5 years, 12 years, 17 years — we were the only first timers in our conversations. This resort is so special that guests make a point of reserving their favorite room and favorite spot each and every year.

Guest Rooms

Dvi Aruba Ocean View – Photo Courtesy of Divi Aruba All Inclusive

The guest rooms at the Divi All Inclusive are perfect for your fun in the sun getaway. Soft cozy beds to sink into each night after a day of hard work getting the perfect tan. Decks or patios with views of one of the pretty pools or the gorgeous beach.

The standard room offer all the appointments you need; flat screen TV, air conditioning, fluffy bath towels, etc. And if you find need something, the front desk staff is sure to help you access whatever your heart’s desire. Also, their cleaning and disinfection practices are top shelf; everything is very clean but you are not overwhelmed by the cleaning fumes – a win/win.

Adjoining rooms are available when you have a larger group and want to be close by.

I have to say, the view was so spectacular, my husband didn’t turn on the TV for 4 full days – that is a record event.

Concierge Services

The Concierge Desk is a must stop as soon as you check in. They will assist you with any reservations you require during your stay and issue you a reservation confirmation on the spot.

Take a look through all their tour offerings, select the ones that are perfect for you, and let them do the heavy lifting. They can make reservations in a snap. You can enjoy tours all around the island from private tour companies to in-house tour guides. The offsite tours transportation will pick you up in the Divi Aruba lobby. No need to rent a car.

They will also assist in making onsite reservations at the Divi and her sister resorts. They will do their very best to get you into every restaurant you want to try.

Below are a few types of reservations the Divi All Inclusive Concierge Desk can help you secure.

Restaurants

Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Dessert at Pure Lime

The resort offers many restaurants at the Divi and Tamarijn are included in your all inclusive property stay. There are a few special restaurants that require an add on charge and dining at one or two of them during your stay is a special treat.

When you are dining at the all inclusive restaurants, this is the time to try something new to you. Order an appetizer you have always wanted to try, indulge in a sweet treat to finish your meal, this is vacation time and the onsite food options are extensive. Order a different entree than your dining partner and share, this is the perfect time to expand your culinary repertoire.

Remember to visit the concierge to make your dinner reservations as soon as you arrive. The prime time slots fill up quickly. Also, you can plan ahead and make a reservation for your first night before you arrive or you can simply grab a bite from the casual restaurants.

Pure Lime
Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Tacos AT Pure Lime

Reservations are required at Pure Lime. This is one of my favorite inclusive restaurants at the resort. They offer a “south of the border” style menu that pairs perfectly with a Margarita. The Grouper Taco is delicious.

The Red Parrot
Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Coconut Breaded Shripm at The Red Parrot

The Red Parrot is Divi’s signature restaurant and reservations fill up quickly. Located steps from the surf, on a moonlit night it is positively enchanting. The Coconut Breaded Shrimp was delicious. Finish with the Caramel Flan and Passion Fruit Sorbet. Okay, now I’m hungry!

Sandpiper Bar

The Sandpiper Bar is a great place to grab lunch or an early dinner. When all you want is a burger or a sandwich to enjoy by the pool, this is the perfect spot.

Pelican Terrace

The Pelican Terrace is the main dining option for breakfast and lunch. You can also enjoy a seated dinner. It is a cafeteria style service and offers optional buffet meals paired with a wait staff to tend to your bar requests. The Terrace offers a wide selection of stations with made-to-order plates. It is a quick and easy dining option.

Coco Grill and Bar

The Coco Grill and Bar is a perfectly placed pool side option that is open to satisfy your afternoon or late night pizza cravings. Induge in a slice or two with a fruity tropical drink poolside while you let those work-a-day worries slip away.

Windows On Aruba

For an add on fee, you can dine at Windows On Aruba, located at the Divi Links property directly across the street from Divi Aruba. Their fine dining menu includes a legendary Sunday Brunch. If you are seated for dinner, start with the Escabeche-style Scallop and Shrimp Salad followed by a perfectly executed Filet Mignon or the Miso Sea Bass. Don’t forget to save room for dessert like their Key Lime Tartlet. So good.

Fusion Restaurant Wine and Piano Bar

Another add on option is the Fusion Restaurant Wine and Piano Bar. Not only can you order a fabulous glass of wine or other lounge libation, they offer a select dining menu. My favorite dining style at Fusion is to order from the Tapas Share and Pare menu. Order a few of your favorite dishes and share them with someone you love.

The Palm Grill

Located at the Tamarijn, The Palm Grill is the newest restaurant. They serve up an interactive Hibachi style menu with a gorgeous view of the beach.

Paparazzi Restaurant, Bar, and Lounge

This is the Tamarijn’s signature all inclusive restaurant. The Italian inspired menu transports you to a European cafe. Be sure to make a reservation, Paparazzi is always busy.

Ginger
Ginger Restaurant, Photo Courtesy of the Divi Aruba All Inclusive

This fun restuaruan, Ginger, offers an Asian menu that ups the dining decision making difficulties. With offerings like Green Curry Mussels, Mango Chicken, and Mahi Noodles, you will not leave hungry.

Cunuco Terrace and Pizza Per Tutti

The Cunucu Terrace and Pizza Per Tutti are the Tamarijn’s sister venues for daily breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and grab and go options.

Beaches

Druif Beach
Divi Resort Overlooking Druif Beach

The Divi Aruba All Inclusive is right on Druif Beach. You can walk from your suite onto the soft white sandy goodness. The Divi offers guests a miriade of lounge chairs, towel service, and shaded tiki umbrellas.

One note: If you want a particular group of beach chairs or a spot under an umbrella, get to the beach or pool early and claim your spot. By late morning, you will find the most coveted chairs claimed with beach bags, towels, and even flip flops.

Palm Beach
Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort

Palm Beach is the beach associated with the high-rise section of Oranjestad. A gorgeous ocean beach where you will find towering hotels, a vibrant shopping district, and lots of fun restaurants and bars.

Eagle Beach
Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Eagle Beach

The gorgeous Eagle Beach is a wide public beach noted for its crystal white sands and sea turtles. It has been named one of the best beaches in the world many times. Eagle Beach is a short walk or bike ride from the Divi Resort. The perfect spot for your morning beach walk.

Baby Beach

Baby Beach is a small, secluded beach that is perfect for families with young children. Due to the nature of its shape, the surf is generally mild and swimming friendly. You will need a car or ride share to get to Baby Beach.

Activities

So many activities are included in your Divi Aruba stay. The amenities, beachside activities, and on the water fun add to the enjoyment of your inclusive Divi Aruba vacation. Below is a selection of included and add-on activities you can explore.

Pools
Divi Aruba All Inclusive Pools

Yes, that’s plural. At the all inclusive Divi Aruba there are 4 pools. The Tamarijn All Inclusive also has 4 pools. So grab your favorite side-by-side sun loungers and take a well deserved nap at one of the 8 pools across the properties. I love the in-the-water sun loungers where you can stay dry but while dangling your hands and feet in the clear pool water.

Yoga

Enjoy a wellness centered yoga session to keep you balanced while you are enjoying this lovely spot on earth. What could be more Zen than a tropical garden or toes-in-the-sand yoga session with an experienced instructor.

As you find your center, relax into your breathing, and take your mind to a peaceful spot, you will enhance your relaxation vacation and take your inner being to new places.

I highly recommend scheduling a private yoga session with the Divi’s fabulous yoga instructor.

Music

Onsite live performances and DJs by the pool will have you dancing in the Caribbean sand under the stars. The ultimate in after dinner, vacation entertainment.

Golf
Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Divi Links

At the Divi Golf and Beach Resort, across the street from the Divi All Inclusive, you can enjoy a round of golf. If you have never played golf before, this is a fun 9-hole course to get a taste of the golf experience. With two sets of tees, you can play 18 holes and enjoy a slightly different perspective for your second round tee shots.

Before you hit the links, check out my Beginners Guide to Golf Etiquette so you look like a seasoned pro on the course. If you prefer to travel with your own clubs, these golf travel bags are the best way to keep your clubs in tip top shape.

Casino
Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Alhambra Casino

Neighboring the Divi Aruba All Inclusive is the Alhambra Casino. It’s a short walk from the Divi Aruba and is a fun spot to spend an hour or two testing your luck with the slots or at the table.

My best advice – go in with an entertainment budget to spend, and stick to it. If you win – fabulous, if not – then it is just a fun night out.

Rock Climbing
Tamarijn Aruba All Incluive Rock Climbing Wall

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at rock climbing? The Tamarijn All Inclusive sports a beach side, 30-foot rock climbing wall just steps from the beach. Experience a birds eye water view while testing your muscles and mental strength as you climb higher and higher.

This is the perfect spot to give it a try if you want to experience the sensation for the first time. It is also a great way for tweens and teens to get out some of their ever present energy.

Snorkeling

At the Divi Aruba rental center you can pick up snorkeling gear and hit the water in search of colored fish and assorted turtles. Never snorkeled before, join one of the in pool clinics to learn the basics. Snorkeling is one of those lifelong sports that anyone can master.

The best way to take photos while you are underwater, is to have a underwater protective phone case. This inexpensive piece of equipment keeps your phone dry, keeps it safely around your neck so it doesn’t slip through your fingers, and allows you to take fun underwater photos.

Kayaking

You can reserve your kayak at the rental booth located under the fitness center. Paddle along the shoreline for a great workout and some sunshine.  Don’t forget your protective phone case here too; security for when you accidently tip your kayak – happens to the best of kayakers.

Windsurfing

How about a learn to windsurf class with a trained windsurfing instructor. This beach clinic training session will have you ready to hit the water and catch the trade winds while riding the turquoise Caribbean waves. Windsurfing is definitely one of those sports that require a little bit of instruction for beginners. The Divi Aruba is the best place to give it a try. It is perfect for the active vacationer.

Biking
Biking By Eagle Beach

Head over to the Tamarijn All Inclusive and borrow a bike from the bike shack. You can ride into town or around the island. The island is very flat and bike friendly making it perfect for cruising on a bike.

Alternatively you can join a bike and snorkeling tour led by one of the Tamarijn biking experts. They also offer private E-bike adventures where your guide will customize your ride around Aruba. Be sure to book your private adventure before you arrive to ensure you can get a reservation for this popular option.

Fitness Center

The fitness center has recently been finished. You can enjoy your workout while experiencing gorgeous ocean views. Isn’t that the view we should always have when pumping iron or hitting the treadmill!

Honeymoon And Wedding Packages

Divi Aruba All Inclusive Champaign Toast
Weddings

Warm tropical breezes gently kiss a gauzy white canopy set with a perfect turquoise ocean backdrop. This is the toes-in-the-sand wedding you have always dreamed you would have on your special day. Whether you are a party of four, twenty-four, or even more, you can have a picture perfect day on a gorgeous Aurbian beach.

If you want a more private wedding ceremony, the resort will coordinate a beautifully executed live stream beach nuptials for all your online guests. The two of you together, without guests, can experience your romantic Aruba ceremony while your friends and family can enjoy the ceremony at home. This leaves you to enjoy your honeymoon without a gaggle of friends and family sharing your special week in Aruba.

Honeymoons

Aruba is the perfect spot for a honeymoon, and the Divi takes care of everything for your special vacation. Champaign in your room to enjoy while relaxing on your private balcony overlooking swaying palms, crystal beaches, and Caribbean waters. Perfect!

Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive Resort

Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive Lobby, Courtesy of the Divi Aruba All Inclusive

Divi’s sister resort, Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive, is located adjacent to the Divi, separated by a gorgeous stretch of beautiful beach dotted with the sister resort’s sun loungers.

There is a seemingly endless shuttle service running between the Tamarijn and Divi Aruba so hopping back and forth is effortless. It is, however, only a 10 minute walk along the beach or sidewalk.

Companion properties to the Divi Aruba All Inclusive are listed below.

Shopping

Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
I Love Aruba

Luxury shopping in Aruba is what you encounter at many stores. With the lack of overtaxation on luxury goods, jewelry shopping is king.

Additionally, you can find wonderful shops that sell island made goods and souvenirs.

Off Property Adventures

There is a nice selection of nearby attractions for your off property adventures. Aruba is a super safe island and you will be very comfortable venturing off property. The feeling of safety on Aruba is one of the key reasons we love the Divi All Inclusive. So often you end up at a resort where you feel out of your element when you venture off property, not so at the Divi all inclusive property.

Arikok National Park
Arikok National Park

The ruggedly gorgeous Arikok National Park offers a fascinating landscape dichotomy. The road to the park is through a cacti forest; however once you enter, you will find rugged, desert-like terrain; then the park is bordered in by rock strewn coastline. There are dirt roads, but 4×4 vehicles are highly recommended.

The best way to experience the park is through a tour of this National Park, you can find wonderful tours through Viator. I use them for many of my excursions. They are a great link to trusted local tour guides.

Natural Pool
Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Natural Pool

Swimming in the Natural Pool at Arikok National Park is a once in a lifetime adventure. The ocean pool is hemmed in by enormous lava rocks. As you float along, the waves crash over these giant outcroppings and splash into the pool. It is amazing and a little terrifying.

For visitors not into swimming amongst the rocks, there is plenty of sea life to explore in the tidal area. Small crustaceans, shells, and interesting rocks offer a fun stroll along the rocky beach.

Be sure to wear good water shoes, you will be scrambling over wet rocks. Also, the hike down from the vehicle is a long descent on rock formations and rustic steps.

California LightHouse

The California LightHouse is on a hill overlooking the city. The view is pretty and at times you can climb to the top of the light house for an even more incredible view. It is not a destination I would recommend as a must see, but if it’s on your city tour, then it’s fun..

Alto Vista Chapel

The Alto Vista Chapel is a small chapel also known as the Pilgrims Church. It is a pretty little building that is sought after for weddings. It offers gorgeous, rustic views juxtaposed with the sweetness of the chapel.

Natural Bridge
Natural Bridge

The Natural Bridge is a stone passway across an ocean inlet. It is listed as a tourist spot, but honestly, you could skip it and not miss much. The main bridge was washed out years ago and the current bridge is closed to pedestrians foot traffic. It is basically a tourist trap.

Boca Catalina

Boca Catalina is a great local spot for snorkeling. The crystal clear and calm waters are perfect for observing underwater creatures. You can book a bike and snorkel tour at the bike shack at the Tamarijn and explore this pretty area.

Alternatively, grab a bike and some snorkeling gear and set out for a day on this secluded, dreamy beach.

Catamarans
Catamaran Tour Off Druif Beach

The best way to get out and enjoy the water is on a local catamaran ride. Set sail and enjoy a gorgeous over the Caribbean water sunset. Viator is a great way to book these types of tours, they link you to local vendors who know are experts in their tours.

Kids Club

Family friendly vacations where you can find a little adult time can be a challenge. At the Divi, the free kid’s club for your under 5 years old children is a boon for parents and grandparents who need a little down time. Special rates apply for 6-17 year olds in your family, making your room price at the Divi All Inclusive a fabulous value for a family vacation.

This is the best beach deal offering some free beach time for parents and grandparents.

Dining Off Property

There are a host of other wonderful dining options off property. If you are staying for a week or more and want a break from the all inclusive restaurant offerings, you have a host of wonderful restaurants for your dining pleasure. I have listed below several that have been recommended to me by friends, Arubian guides, and visitors.

Anna Maria’s
Agua Grill
Papiamento
The Old Cunucu House
Madame Janette
The Dutch Pancake House

Packing

Your packing list for the Divi Aruba should include swimwear, coverups, touring wear, casual outfits, and one or two Caribbean chic ensembles for easy breezy dining.

Sign up for our free Ultimate Packing Guide, although you won’t need much for this trip, just a swimsuit and sunglasses.

Here’s my best packing tip:

When heading to a beachy resort, pack your swimsuit in your carry on luggage. ADD LUGGAGE LINK If you arrive at the resort before your room is ready, check in, store your bags, slip into your swimsuit and hit the beach while you are waiting. Grab a towel and a tropical beverage and get this vacation party started.

Aruba Tourist Board Rating

The Aruba Tourist Board has awarded the Divi Aruba All Inclusive the Green Globe award. The Green Globe award is the premier ecotourism certification. The stringent standards focusing on sustainability and traveling responsibly is a lofty challenge to attain.

Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review
Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort

Beautiful Oranjestad, Aruba, will enchant you. From the moment you step onto the resort property you can feel your stress level decrease and your entire being decompress. I hope you enjoyed my Divi Aruba All Inclusive Resort Review. We immensely enjoyed our stay at this premier all inclusive vacation resort.

Happy Travels,

Sandi

PS:

Don’t you just hate it when your phone battery is in the dreaded red zone? I always carry Fuel Rods with me. They give me a battery boost, they are rechargeable, and they work with iphones and androids.

Travel health insurance when you are heading out of the country is an important consideration. Many policies don’t fully cover you outside of the US. I use Safety Wing for my international travels. I use the one-time coverage option for individual trips – luckily I haven’t had to use it, but it’s comforting to know I have it in place.

If you know me, you know I love a glass of wine (or two). My favorite mail order wine company is Naked Wines. I order a case every month or so – no judgment please. I love that they work with small independent winemakers and I get to choose what wine I want and when I want it delivered.

Don’t forget to download my free packing list! It’s the perfect jumping off point to get your adventure started.
